Phansidewa, 19th May: A rare wildlife movement was reported from Phansidewa after three leopard cubs were spotted in a drain at Section No. 21 of Jayantika Tea Garden area. The incident prompted immediate action by the forest department.
Following the sighting, the Ghoshpukur Forest Department cordoned off the area and installed trap cameras to monitor the movement of the animals and ensure safety in the vicinity.
In a sequence captured on camera, the mother leopard later arrived at the location and retrieved her cubs one by one, carrying them back to her den. Forest officials monitored the entire process and confirmed that the cubs were safely reunited under natural conditions.
