Manipur Landslide: Remains of martyr Bidhan Rai reaches Kurseong, funeral will be held tomorrow

Kurseong, 02nd July: The mortal remains of Bidhan Rai, who lost his life in the tragic Manipur landslide, reached his native village in Gauri Shankar Tea Garden of Kurseong, on Saturday. Bodies of 11 martyred jawans were flown from Manipur to Bagdogra Airport and were taken to the Bengdubi Military Station. After receiving the Guard of honour, Bidhan Rai’s body reached Kurseong at around 4.30 pm today. His funeral will be held on Sunday. 
SDO (Kurseong) Ezaz Ahmed, BGPM leader Shyam Sherpa, Kurseong MLA BP Bajgain, army officials and thousands of people gathered to pay their respects to the brave soldier.
