Kurseong, 01st April: Amar Lama, candidate of the Bhartiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha (BGPM), filed his nomination for the Kurseong Assembly Constituency on Wednesday. Before submitting the nomination, Amar Lama along with BGPM President Anit Thapa offered prayers at a temple located on Gidda Pahar in Kurseong.
A multi-faith prayer was also organized at the Kurseong Motor Stand. Following the rituals, a massive rally was taken out, attended by a large number of party workers and supporters. The rally traversed Hill Cart Road, Mahakuma Hospital More, Burdwan Road, Motor Stand, and then circled Pankhabari Road.
After the rally, Amar Lama reached the Kurseong SDO’s office and submitted his nomination papers to Kurseong SDO Priya Yadav.
