Two arrested in electrical items theft case in Naxalbari, stolen goods recovered

Naxalbari, 18th May: In a major breakthrough in a theft case, Naxalbari Police have arrested two persons in connection with the theft of electrical items from a warehouse in the area.

According to reports, on 14th May, several electrical items were stolen from a godown in Deshbandhu Pally, Naxalbari. Following a complaint, police launched an investigation and first arrested Gopal Sahani, who was taken into custody for interrogation. Based on his statement, police later arrested another accused, Agnu Gwala, during a subsequent operation.

Police sources said Agnu Gwala runs an electronics shop, where the stolen items were allegedly sold by Gopal Sahani after the theft. During the operation, police also recovered the stolen electrical items from the shop.

Both accused were produced before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Monday.
