Kurseong, 31st March: The Darjeeling-NJP Toy Train service was halted near Kurseong town for around 45 minutes after water supply pipe obstructed the track.
The incident occurred when the pipe got stuck under the engine, preventing the train from moving forward. The train, which carries tourists traveling between Darjeeling and NJP, had to stop, causing inconvenience to passengers. Some tourists traveling only till Kurseong had to disembark during the delay.
Speaking over the phone, the Director of Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) stated that an inquiry will be conducted to determine the details of the incident before making any further comments.
