Gajoldoba, 27th April: The renovation work of the Gajoldoba Teesta Bridge commenced on Sunday. A foundation stone laying ceremony was held to mark the beginning of the project. Minister of State Bulu Chik Bairik, Vice President of the Gajoldoba Development Authority, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy, and Zilla Parishad member Mahua Gope, along with other dignitaries, were present at the event.
The condition of the Gajoldoba Teesta Barrage Bridge has remained poor for a long time, prompting the need for urgent renovation. The repair work is scheduled to continue for a duration of four months. During this period, the movement of all small and large vehicles will be completely restricted on the Teesta Barrage Bridge.
