Minister of State Subrata Saha dies due to a heart attack, Chief Minister expressed grief

Subrata Saha, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Food processing industry and Horticulture Government of West Bengal, died of a sudden heart attack at a hospital on Thursday. He was 72 years old. Mourning encapsulated the political circles of the state due to his sudden demise. 

State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also expressed deep grief over his death. On the demise of the minister, the state government has declared a holiday in all government offices in the state after 2 pm on Thursday. 

According to family sources, the minister had a gallbladder operation a few days back in a private hospital in Kolkata. He returned to Murshidabad from Kolkata on Wednesday. But after his health deteriorated again in the night, he was admitted to Murshidabad Medical College Hospital, where the minister breathed his last this morning.
