Man arrested with 10 rounds of ammunition in Siliguri

Siliguri, 01st May: The undercover team of Bhakti Nagar police station arrested one person with 10 rounds of ammunition during a late-night operation on Wednesday. The accused, identified as Rakesh Mistry, is a resident of the Kholachand Fapri area.

Reportedly, acting on a tip-off, police spotted Rakesh Mistry roaming suspiciously in the Baikunth Pally area. Upon searching him, officers recovered 10 rounds of ammunition and took him into custody.

According to police sources, Mistry has a history of involvement in several criminal cases. The motive behind his possession of the cartridges is currently under investigation.

On Thursday, the accused was produced before the Jalpaiguri court as further probe continues.
