Government schools reopen in Jalpaiguri; classes begin with ‘Vande Mataram’ after summer vacation

Jalpaiguri, 01st June: Government schools across Jalpaiguri reopened on Monday after the end of summer vacation, with the day beginning through prayers and rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ in accordance with state government guidelines.

A similar scene was witnessed at Sonaulla Primary School in Jalpaiguri, where students stood in rows inside the school premises and sang ‘Vande Mataram’ in unison during the morning assembly.

Classes formally began following the prayer session. Students appeared enthusiastic and cheerful as they returned to school after the long summer break.
