Alipurduar, 29th March: The Forest Department has rescued a giant King Cobra from Totopara area of Alipurduar district.

As per reports, a giant King Cobra was seen in a house in Totopara area on Saturday. The Lankapara Range of the Forest Department was immediately informed.

Upon receiving the news, forest personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the approximately 14-foot-long King Cobra. After the rescue, the King Cobra was released into the Jaldapara Forest.

The residents of the area have been in a state of panic since the incident.
