Siliguri, 21st June: A two-day conference on ‘Perinatal Brilliance’ was successfully held in Siliguri through the joint initiative of PamPearl Hospital and the Neonatology Society of West Bengal. Approved by the West Bengal Medical Council, the event brought together gynaecologists, paediatricians and neonatologists on a common platform, with a strong focus on strengthening coordinated maternal and newborn healthcare services.
The conference witnessed participation from several renowned national and international experts. Among the distinguished speakers were Dr. A.K. Deorari, a leading neonatologist from AIIMS, Dr. Arun Singh, Dr. Neerja Bhatla, and specialist doctors from various European countries. Discussions centred on advancements in maternal and neonatal care, management of high-risk pregnancies, and improvements in prenatal and postnatal treatment practices.
The programme featured a series of scientific sessions, panel discussions and interactive workshops, providing opportunities for medical professionals to exchange knowledge and clinical experiences. Experts highlighted that stronger collaboration between gynaecologists and paediatricians could significantly reduce maternal and neonatal mortality, improve the management of complex deliveries, and enhance the overall quality of neonatal healthcare services.
