No tough contest, claims TMC candidate Gautam Deb after filing nomination in Siliguri

Siliguri, 02nd April: TMC candidate Gautam Deb on Thursday claimed that there is no real contest in the upcoming elections and asserted that the sitting MLA would be pushed to the third position in the results.

Deb made the statement after filing his nomination papers at the Sub-Divisional Officer’s office.

Earlier in the day, Trinamool Congress leaders, workers and supporters gathered at Baghajatin Park before taking out a grand rally to the SDO office where the nomination was filed.

District TMC chairman Sanjay Tibrewal, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Members of Mayor-in-Council, party councillors, and other district leaders were present in the procession.
