Rajganj, 16th November: Tension spread in Rajganj after allegations surfaced that posters put up in support of Trinamool Congress candidate Swapna Burman were torn down. The incident was reported from the Banshbari area under Panikauri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block.

According to TMC sources, multiple posters supporting the candidate had been put up in the area, which were allegedly torn by miscreants during the night. It has also been claimed that party flags were set on fire.

Rajganj block TMC president Arindam Banerjee has directly accused the BJP, alleging that party-backed miscreants are deliberately targeting TMC posters in different areas under the cover of darkness. He said a similar incident took place in Banshbari as well, where not only posters but also party flags were burned.
