Darjeeling District records 420 COVID-19 positive cases in last 24 hours

Darjeeling, 08th May: Darjeeling district, including Siliguri municipal area and parts of Jalpaiguri, recorded 420 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the information received, 185 COVID-19 cases have been reported from Siliguri municipal area, 12 from Darjeeling municipality, 24 from Sukna, 11 from Kurseong municipality, 16 from Mirik, 03 from Bijanbari, 04 from Sukhia Pokhari, 09 Takdah, 07 Kharibari, 123 from Matigara, 15 from Naxalbari and 11 from Phansidewa. A total of 238 cases are from SMC including the Jalpaiguri portion.

250 cases have been recovered including home isolation patients (*this discharge figures don’t include discharge from private hospitals and defence establishment)
