BJP candidates Shankar Ghosh, Anandamay Barman and Durga Murmu file nominations in Siliguri

Siliguri, 02nd April: BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh on Thursday filed his nomination papers in Siliguri, while party candidates Anandamay Barman from Matigara-Naxalbari and Durga Murmu from Phansidewa also submitted their nominations.

A rally was taken out from in front of Kanchenjunga Stadium before the candidates proceeded for nomination filing.

Shankar Ghosh filed his nomination at the Sub-Divisional Officer’s office in Mallaguri.

After filing his papers, Ghosh expressed confidence, stating that the people of the area are his strength. He described Siliguri as a “small Ayodhya” and claimed that most residents want relief from the Trinamool Congress.

He further asserted that the BJP is set to secure a massive victory in Siliguri, unlike anything seen in recent times.
