Alipurduar, 18th April: Two drivers sustained injuries in a road accident involving a head-on collision between two container trucks on the Birpara stretch of Asian Highway 48 (AH-48).

According to reports, both trucks collided directly with each other, resulting in significant damage to the front portions of the vehicles. The drivers of both trucks were injured in the accident, with one of them reported to be in critical condition.

The crash led to a temporary traffic jam on the busy highway. Upon receiving the news, Birpara police promptly reached the scene, seized both the trucks, and worked to restore normal traffic flow.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
