The Sikkim Police, under the leadership of SP East Dr Siva Prasad Yellasari, launched an operation in Topakhani and Samdong along NH 10 and successfully seized drugs worth over 12 lakh rupees.
The huge cache of drugs including banned cough syrup and tablets were recovered from a Wagon R car. An Assistant Sub Inspector ASI along with 5 others ha ve been arrested in connection to the incident.
