Sikkim CM flags off 16 Royal Enfield motorcycle for Traffic Police

Gangtok, 11th January: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) flagged off 16 Royal Enfield 350cc dedicated to the Sikkim Traffic Police at an event organized by the Sikkim Police Department on MG Road in Gangtok. The move comes as an initiative to enforce better traffic management in the state.

Minister Urban Development and Housing department Arun Upreti, Minister Transport and Buildings Sanjit Kharel,BJP MLA YT Lepcha and other officials of Sikkim Police Department were present on the occasion.

Landslides devastate North Sikkim; 34 stranded people airlifted to safety

Pakyong, 03rd June: Continuous heavy rains have triggered severe landslides across North Sikkim, causing widespread destruction and blocking roads in multiple areas. Among the most affected was Chaten, where 34 people were stranded due to the landslides. On Tuesday morning, a major rescue operation was conducted, and all 34 individuals were successfully airlifted to safety.
