Alipurduar, 17th April: A person was injured in a bison attack in the Chuakhola area of Falakata. The injured individual, identified as Biswajit Biswas, was attacked while working in a field on Thursday morning.

According to reports, two bison entered the area, under Ward No. 01 and 02, and began creating havoc. During this time, Biswajit Biswas was attacked from behind by one of the bison, resulting in serious injuries.

The injured person was immediately rescued and taken to Falakata Super Specialty Hospital for treatment. However, his condition worsened, and he was later referred to Cooch Behar for further medical care.

The frequency of bison attacks in the area has been a growing concern, and this latest incident has caused widespread panic among the locals. Forest officials arrived at the scene as soon as the news was received.
