Major fire destroys 10 shops in Barobisha area on Assam-Bengal border

Alipurduar, 04th April: A terrible fire broke out in the Barobisha area on the Assam-Bengal border, gutting 10 shops and causing significant damage.

According to reports, the fire started late on Thursday night. Upon noticing the flames, local traders immediately alerted the fire brigade. One engine from the Barobisha fire station was dispatched to the location, followed by another engine from Alipurduar.

In total, 10 shops, including furniture shops, cosmetic shops, and electrical shops, were completely gutted in the blaze.

Local traders have estimated that the damage caused by the fire will exceed crores of rupees.
