GTA Chief Anit Thapa working tirelessly to restore normalcy in areas affected by Teesta flash flood

Kalimpong, 10th October: In continued efforts for restoration, GTA Chief Anit Thapa has been seen living and working in the flash flood-affected areas. Several days have passed since the Sikkim disaster which destroyed numerous houses in Teesta Bazaar, Melli, and the adjoining areas of Kalimpong.

Earlier, on Monday, GTA Chief arranged vehicles for the students to be sent to school. In addition to visiting the area, he is also in continuous touch with the residents. As per reports, the work for removing the soil and debris from the houses in the Teesta Bazar area has started. Simultaneously, road repair work has also commenced. GTA supremo Anit Thapa is continuously residing in the area and supervising the works, including visiting the relief camp and listening to the grievances of the victims.

It has to be noted that, after the incident, the GTA supremo assured the people of re-building their damaged houses and is continuously engaged in efforts to normalize the prevailing situation.
