Grand 80th Independence Day celebration held at Income Tax Office in Siliguri

Siliguri, 15th August: The Income Tax Office in Siliguri organised a grand celebration of the 80th Independence Day under the leadership of Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Siliguri, Rajeev Kumar.

The programme was attended by members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Siliguri Taxation Bar Association and various business associations of Siliguri.

The celebrations began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. The programme also featured Ganesh Vandana and Vande Mataram.

Various cultural programmes were organised as part of the celebrations, with officials of the Income Tax Department presenting performances. Children also participated through songs, dance and musical performances.

A drama based on India’s Independence and the country’s freedom struggle was also presented, adding to the patriotic spirit of the celebrations.
